After we launched 3.0 last year, we're back to our roots in iterative weekly development, focusing on requests from our community. A key focus this year is improving existing features and ensuring each product area works seamlessly together.
Here's what we're working on for H2 2024 that you can look forward to! Please note, items and dates are subject to change.
ClickUp Chat: We've combined chat and work! Create and manage work while messaging. Turn messages into tasks with one click. Have every conversation automatically linked to related tasks, docs, and chats. With AI to keep Chat manageable with suggested answers, and summarized threads.
Slack Importer: Move your team over from Slack to ClickUp chat with ease. After that, we'll tackle a Microsoft Teams Importer.
Whiteboards 3.0: Revamped real-time collaboration to support more users. With brand new tools, improved connectors/shapes, and AI features.
Outlook Calendar Integration (2-Way): Create and View Events from O365, as part of a new Calendar Experience!
New Custom Field Type - Button: Manually trigger an Automation with a click of a button.
Private Comments: Control the sharing visibility of specific comments as private so that you can secure who can see certain messages, such as team members or external members/clients who you wouldn't want to see the message
Forms Improvements: Customize your forms even more to capture detailed info quickly with sections, informational blocks, and an improved creation flow. Using the new Forms Hub, you can easily find your existing Forms and create new Forms with ease with a library of templates.
Refreshed Zoom Integration: Zoom Link Previews in ClickUp to instantly join calls and the ability to create a Zoom meeting directly in Chat.
Slack DMs as Destination for ClickUp Notifications: ClickUp users can select Slack as a destination (among Inbox, Email, Desktop app, Mobile app) and choose which ClickUp notifications (assigned comments, assigned tasks, etc.) they want to receive in Slack.
Connected Search for Slack, SharePoint, & OneDrive: Search your connected apps from one place and customize search results for you and your team.
Additional ClickUp AI Enhancements: Leverage AI to streamline workflows, personalize user interactions, and accelerate decision-making so that teams spend time on what matters.
Improved AI Writing Tool - The AI writing tools are being consolidated into a single interface to streamline user experience, reducing the need for multiple separate tools. Slash commands are also being expanded to expose more options.
AI Custom Fields - Any standard or Custom Field can be intelligently filled with AI (greatly expanding beyond our existing AI filled long text fields, task summary & updates). AI power users can write custom prompts for any field type, while users who are less comfortable with prompting will have intelligent options for selecting and customizing existing prompts across a variety of use cases.
AI List Builder - Tell AI what you're trying to do and it will create statuses, custom fields, and views that are best suited to your needs.
AI Dynamic List Banner - Let AI proactively tell you when it's found a duplicate or stale task, have it write a project update for you, and more.
Improved AskAI Modal - Making AI feel more like a natural extension of ClickUp and make it more intuitive to work with.
Unified & Consistent Rescheduling: ClickApps scheduling is being updated to a unified service. This means tasks and subtasks, regardless of whether you view them in a list or Gantt chart, will follow the same scheduling logic.
Calendar Improvements: Manage your schedule from a new global calendar, without ever leaving ClickUp.
Time Blocking for Tasks: Plan your time wisely by blocking time your calendar for tasks.
Timesheet Approvals: Confidently rely on the accuracy of the time entries.
Gantt Chart Enhancements: Keep your project on track at glance with Custom Fields support and improved column management.
Workload Enhancements: Adding the ability to Filter and Group by Team or Role. With an increased time-scale to view work over a longer time period.
Team Hub: Teams hubs provide each team with a hub that reflects the work they're doing.
Sprint After Action Report: Generate an after action report which gives an exec summary on how the sprint went overall - what the team achieved (Forecasted vs Completed, New scope added).
Scheduled Reports: Save time, increase visibility, and empower informed decisions/action - through regular delivery of insights and reports to all stakeholders (both ClickUp and non-ClickUp users).
Subfolders: Find your work and Docs faster with an added layer of organization.
Pinned Custom Fields By Task Type: Pin the most important Custom Fields by task types so that users are seeing what's most important and relevant for that type of work you're managing.
Audit Logs: For Enterprise Workspaces, Owners and Admins can see user authentication and task activity. Review all login attempts, task activities, and even more via the API.
Custom Field Permissions: Leverage granular Custom Field Permissions to control who can view, use, or edit the values of the custom fields - thereby safeguarding sensitive field information.
Request Access improvements: Easily give people the right access, even if they haven't joined your Workspace yet.
Allowing sharing of private views to select users: Flexibility to share a Private View with a select user.

Dashboard as a View: Dashboard view puts your Dashboards right next to your work. Use Dashboard view to ensure your team can easily find the data they need whether they are at Spaces, Folders, Sprint Folders, Lists, or Sprint Lists.
New Dashboard Cards & Functionality: Interactive Task List-type Cards, use task date fields and Date Custom Fields, use Formula Fields on Calculation Cards, Drill-down into Sprint cards, and more.
Customize Automations: Automations for each task type, Add names to Automations, and Use Dynamic People Fields in Automations.
Custom Commands: Use the search window to add, share, and access your custom commands anywhere in your Workspace. Check out this this commands overview and commands cheat sheet to get started.
Inbox Customization: Group by date, sort by newest or oldest first, customize importance, and right-click anything in your Inbox to add it to your Favorites, Personal List, and LineUp.
ClickUp AI: Transcribe Voice Clips, Summarize Tasks on Mobile, Wikis powered by AI, and Automate your AI Custom Fields.
Board View 3.0: We’ve redesigned Board view with even more ways to work for you. Now, you can change card sizes, choose which fields to display, hide empty fields, and adjust the order of fields on cards.
Performance Improvements: Load large views faster with RapidViewsDB, our proprietary optimization model.
Scheduling by Duration: Allows you to set task durations across ClickUp while automatically skipping Saturdays and Sundays by default.
Timesheets: Easily view and edit time entries for any week, and admins can manage an entire team's capacity all in one place.
Enable Default Billable Time Tracking: Time entries can now be set to billable by default using a new setting on the Time Tracking ClickApp. For additional flexibility, you can set the default billable setting per Space.
Automation Activity Logs: Easily monitor all Automation activities with our new activity logs. View the date, status, and actions for each Automation, and navigate directly to any entry for quick adjustments.
SCIM Group & Attribute Provisioning: Create, update, and automatically sync Teams between ClickUp and your identity provider like Okta, Google, or Microsoft.
Localized Data hosting in Singapore: Enterprise customers near Singapore will automatically be migrated to the new AWS data center, storing your data locally.
HIPAA-Compliant AI: Unlock the full power of AI in your HIPAA-compliant Workspace. ClickUp Brain now supports the highest level of data security.
Email Notification for Invoices: You can now enable invoice notifications for owners, admins, or to a custom email to receive an email any time a new invoice is generated for your Workspace.
Connected Search: Connect apps like Figma, Dropbox, Box, Confluence, GitHub, Salesforce, JIRA, and Google Drive to search all of your connected apps from one place, and manage access to each app in your command center to customize search results for you and your team.
Enhanced Integrations with GitHub: Find pull requests using Universal Search and view GitHub activity in the new Task view.
Improved Slack Integration: Preview ClickUp tasks and Docs in Slack, and easily create new ClickUp tasks with our refreshed Slack integration.
Import any doc into ClickUp: Import any doc format into ClickUp from tools like Word, Google Docs, Quip, Almanac, Craft, and more to consolidate your work in one place.
